The PlainClarity team is delighted to announce the addition of Rakiraki Ramen and Tsukemen and owner/executive chef Junya Watanabe to the client roster. Rakiraki Ramen and Tsukemen, opened in 2011, is located in the heart of Kearny Mesa, San Diego. Rakiraki specializes in Japanese cuisine that's both classic and creative. We dined there before bringing Rakiraki on as a client and nodded, "Yep, this is the best ramen in town".
Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, Watanabe spent over six dedicated years learning the basics of cooking and establishing himself as a devoted student in the culinary arts. After spending several months shadowing three of Japan’s most notable ramen chefs, Watanabe learned about the importance of fresh ingredients and how to fuse them together to make a distinct bowl of ramen. Since then, Watanabe has added his own signature touch to original ramen recipes along with other Japanese style foods including curry and tsukemen.
The modern, rustic space features an open-kitchen where healthy, fresh ingredients take center stage. Rakiraki, known for its traditional tsukemen and aburi style ramen, promises authentic dishes and an unforgettable experience. Owner and executive chef Junya Watanabe is dedicated to making Rakiraki the hottest ramen spot in town.
PlainClarity will also guide the launch of Chef Junya’s upcoming concepts, the first of which are slated to open this December. The goal: to become the Chipotle of Japanese food.
