At nine months old, Brook was given the moniker chatterbox and so began her proclivity for communications and forging connections.
Larios is a creative CEO and executive level communications professional with over 20 years of experience in building enduring partnerships, public relations, marketing, social media, journalism and content creation. For 15 years, she and her team have had the honor of serving a notable portfolio of award-winning clients in hospitality, lifestyle, tech, education and multiple other industries while managing her pr and communications firm, PlainClarity, developing a reputation for excellence among national and local press, tastemakers and thought leaders. Larios is noted for quickly and authentically building trust and leveraging uncommon connections for brands of all sizes. She has a special interest in neuroscience, born of collegiate research in the fields of psychology and biology. Larios is an avid runner, competing at the ultramarathon and marathon levels, and also a skilled pianist. She believes in the power of connection.

With a master's degree in project management and over six years of pr experience, she's worked at prominent agencies and helped launch major brands like Alexa (you know, the chatty speaker in your living room) and brought the magic to campaigns in the F&B and technology industries.
Her superpower? Finding a brand's heartbeat and using it to curate campaigns that are both innovative and effective. Think of her as your pr cheerleader, leading the way with a sprinkle of fun and a whole lot of results.
Kaitlyn Newman
PR + Marketing Specialist
Creative and ever eager to learn and grow, Kaitlyn Newman adds a dynamic perspective to the PlainClarity team. Kaitlyn graduated from San Diego State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. Having honed her skills through internships with Havas Formula, J Public Relations and Be Social PR, Kaitlyn brings a wealth of experience to the table – particularly in the hospitality and food spaces. Her clients have included Pendry San Diego Hotel, Daiya, Revolution Foods, First Crop, MegaFood and more.
For her clients, Kaitlyn has managed influencer partnerships and cultivated relationships with a wide variety of media including top-tier lifestyle outlets, trade publications and local newspapers. A sampling of outlets she has landed placement in include Brit + Co, Authority Magazine, VegOut Magazine and The Austin Chronicle. PlainClarity’s fresh perspective and unique approach to each client drew Kaitlyn’s eye immediately. In her spare time, Kaitlyn enjoys losing herself in a quality book or working up a sweat in the gym. San Diego’s warmth, beautiful beaches and amazing food prompted Kaitlyn’s decision to permanently relocate from chilly yet gorgeous Colorado. Kaitlyn is now happily married to her husband, Jordan, and they are proud fur parents to their 11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, Zoey.
Chloe Kangas
Social Media + Content Marketing Specialist
From a young age, Chloe was an avid reader and picked up any book she could find. Her love of the written word is what drew her to the world of communications, culminating in her graduation from San Diego State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.
She graduated cum laude and, during her final class, led a team of 12 students in carrying out a campaign for local environmental group, Wildcoast, earning the first ever national coverage for a client in that program. She was also an inducted member of the nation’s largest honor society, The National Society of Leadership and Success.
Today, Kangas is a driven, creative mind specializing in content creation, social media and pr on national and local levels. From big names like Dr. Seuss Enterprises to beloved neighborhood restaurants, she has worked with a large variety of clients and is versatile and persistent in getting results. Her current focus is social media, working with the team at PlainClarity to help grow clients’ presence on all platforms. Her love of literature persists, and she keeps her vocabulary sharp by reading books in her downtime with a special interest in literature from other cultures. She also enjoys hiking and trying new foods.
